64-bit can refer to a CPU or memory interface that is capable of addressing and transferring 64 bits of data per clock cycle. In more technical terms, this means processors can work with 64-bit binary numbers (decimal numbers up to 9,223,372,036,854,775,807); anything larger, and the computer would need to break the data into smaller pieces.
