Awoxing is a term usually specific to EVE Online, but can happen in any environment where friendly fire is permitted. A player is said to be Awoxing when he begins to deliberately, and often premeditatedly, fire at members of his own corporation or alliance. Players often do this as a precursor to moving to a rival alliance, and usually only undertake this action if they are able to cause significant damage in the process.
