CC Metro is an online spin-off of the virtual world There (virtual world). It is developed by Makena Technologies and sponsored by the Coca-Cola corporation.
Release Date[edit | edit source]
CC Metro was officially opened for user usage on Thursday, December 6, 2007 in the evening. At that time, users on MyCoke.com were asked to create CC Metro usernames and virtual avatars and accept their terms of service.
History[edit | edit source]
The original incarnation was developed by Sulake and was branded as Coke Studios. Coke Studios sported a 2D interface, in comparison to the current version, known as CC Metro.
CC-Metro closed on March 9, 2010 because of the closure of There.com. CC-Metro was apart of the larger There.com environment, thus it was closed when There.com closed.
