Synopsis[edit | edit source]

Characters and Settings[edit | edit source]

1986-1989[edit | edit source]

This timeline concludes the final years of the cold war, and the final moments of the protagonists of Call of Duty: Black Ops. This story chronicles how Alex Mason, Frank Woods and Jason Hudson turned Raul Menendez, the primary antagonist, into a corrupt, immoral leader of mercenaries.

2025[edit | edit source]

This timeline features Alex Mason's son, David Mason; Mike Harper; and Salazar, operatives of the JSOC counter-terrorist force. Their primary objective is to cripple Raul Menendez' terrorist group, Cordis Die and to resolve the conflict between the United States and China in the second cold war.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Strike Force[edit | edit source]

Strike Force missions are like side-missions to the campaign, but they can affect the outcome of the ending. You have to complete a number of tasks in order to complete Strike Force and gain China's trust in the war.

Zombies[edit | edit source]

The fan-favourite zombies returns with an open-world map, TranZit. TranZit is a new gamemode included in zombies where players travel around in a bus trying to escape the undead. The survival gamemode is the classic zombies where players survive against unending hordes of the undead. Finally, there is a new grief mode where 8 players are split into two different teams where they can fight against each other or collaborate with each other to survive the undead but primarily, play competitively as players can damage each other and gain power-ups for their own team. The next zombies map, Die Rise, takes place in China and is set on crumbling skyscrapers, with new weapons, perk, and buildables. The second map pack, Uprising, introduces a new experience, Mob of the Dead, featuring Michael Madsen, Ray Liotta, Chazz Palmintiri and Joe Pantaliono, set in Alcatraz.
