Call of Duty: Black Ops III is the the thirteenth game in the Call of Duty series. It is the sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Development started shortly after the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops II, and thus has been the first Call of Duty game to have a three-year development cycle (as opposed to other games, which were in development for two years).
