Contra 4 is the eleventh game in the Contra series of video games.
Story[edit | edit source]
Bill and Lance are back to battle it out now against Black Viper. Black Viper arrives to learn that Earth is still over run with bipedal mammals. Black Viper decided it was time to finish the job himself. The people of Earth choose once again not to submit to alien rule and turn to the four greatest soldiers ever: Bill Rizer, Lance Bean, Mad Dog, and Scorpion.
Game Play[edit | edit source]
The game continues the classic game play of the Contra series by having bullets blazing everywhere with enemies coming at you at every turn. The Game comes in three different levels of difficulty; Easy, Normal, and Hard. Unfortunately, the last two levels are not available on Easy. Weapons consist of: Rapid-Standard issue peashooter weapon Crush- Short range missiles Flame- Shoots a circular flame Homing- Shoots missiles that seek enemies Laser- Shoots a powerful beam of light Machine Gun- Fast shooting bullets Spread Shot- Shoots a barrage of bullets Barrier- A temporary protective shield Smart Bomb- Destroys everything on screen
Contra 4 also features a challenge mode that the player can unlock, that features multiple different mini-games that gives the player a plethora of challenges.
Bonus Content[edit | edit source]
The game also features bonus content because it celebrates the 20th anniversary of Contra. The player can check out different screen shots and box art in the Contra Museum. The museum contains all the previous Contra games in the series up until this point. Also, the game contains Contra and Super C as extra content the player can unlock and play the two games on the DS
