Cosmic Avenger is a 1981 arcade game developed and published by Universal. This game is the first continuous X-axis (Left to Right) scrolling video game.[1] Although Defender came out before Cosmic Avenger and was a continuous scroller, Defender went in 'circles.'

Legacy[edit | edit source]

Cosmic Avenger was ported to the ColecoVision video game console.
