Destruction Zone, or D-Zone for short, is an arcade/strategy science fiction tank war game. The camera views the robot and human controlled tanks from above and players fire at each other, saving money with which they can shop for better weapons.
Version 1.0 was written as a PC Shareware game for DOS in 1992 by the Australian Composer Julian Cochran. Following considerable popularity[1] for a Shareware game the original author completely re-wrote the game for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X in June 2000 and version 2.1 was released in January 2010.[2]
