Dark Cavern is a game released for the Atari 2600. It is an adaptation of the Intellivision game Night Stalker and was re-released by TeleGames under that title.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

You are armed with a gun with 20 shots to start off with, and to collect more ammo you must pick up additional guns that appear in the maze periodically. You use the gun to shoot at robots, spiders, and swirling blobs roaming through the maze. The robots will only fire at you if you happen to be in their line of sight, and at first will fire only forwards; over time, more robots will also fire behind them. Spiders and blobs are worth no points when you shoot them; however, spiders can stun you if you touch them, and blobs can rob you of your ammo as long as you stay in contact with them.
