Death Race is an arcade game, which was later ported to the Nintendo Entertainment System. The game was inspired by the movie, Death Race 2000.

Reception[edit | edit source]

The game was a controversial arcade game. While not the first violent video game to appear, it was the first video game to inspire a great deal of protest and controversy, in the United States.
