Destiny is an open-world first-person shooter, developed by Bungie and published by Activision. The game was released on September 9, 2014.

Destiny brings players together in an persistent, open world. It was stated that the game is so dynamic, that the in-game world is never exactly the same.

Plot[edit | edit source]

In the future, aided by a mysterious white celestial body called "the Traveler", mankind entered a centuries-long Golden Age. During this Golden Age, humanity colonized the solar system and underwent massive technological advancement. However, this age came to an end due to a phenomenon called "the Darkness", which left humanity on the verge of extinction.
