Donkey Kong Barrel Blast, better known in PAL regions as Donkey Kong Jet Race and in Japan as Donkey Kong Barrel Jet Race (ドンキーコング たるジェットレース Donkī Kongu Taru Jetto Rēsu) is a racing game released for the Nintendo Wii.
Development[edit | edit source]
The game was originally announced in E3 2006 as a GameCube game titled DK: Bongo Blast. The project was later shifted to the Nintendo Wii. This cancelled GameCube version would have used the DK Bongos from Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, this was later changed to the Wiimote and Nunchuck, much to critic's displeasure.
Reception[edit | edit source]
The game was universally panned by critics, recieving very poor review scores. GameTrailers critised the game's unresponsive controls, lack of online mode, and lack of Bongo support. [1]
