Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies is the ninth game in the main Dragon Quest series. It was published by Square Enix on July 11, 2009 in Japan. It originally had been in development since 2006, and then was delayed to 2009 March 28, and has been delayed again, on 12 February 2009, to 11 June 2009.[1]
On February 24, 2010, Nintendo announced its intent to support a North American release,[2] and later announced release dates of July 11, 2010 in North America and July 23, 2010 in Europe.[3]
