The Electronic Entertainment Expo 1995, commonly known as E3 1995, was the first E3 event ever held. The event took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from May 11-13, 1995, and there were 50,000 total attendees.
It was during E3 1995 that Sony announced a release date and price for the PlayStation, SEGA released the Saturn, and Nintendo showcased the Virtual Boy and presented the Nintendo 64 (then known as Ultra 64) in its near-final state of development.
