The TurboGrafx-16 is a console released in 1989, the console was released two weeks after the Genesis. This console is the North American version of the PC-Engine.

Add Ons[ | ]

The TurboGrafx CD was released to expand on the TurboGrafx-16's game library.

TurboDuo[ | ]

TurboDuo is a another version of the TurboGrafx-16 that combined the main system and CD-ROM in one unit. Retailed for $299.99. It had the Super System Card built in.

Reception[ | ]

The system was praised for its game library, but it suffered from limited third-party support due to Nintendo's contract that prevented third parties from releasing video games for other non-Nintendo platforms, which was later deemed illegal. The TurboGrafix-16 did not have the same large user base that the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Genesis enjoyed.
