The Game Rating Board (GRB) is a video game rating board that rates video game content in South Korea.
The board is a government organization that was founded in 2006 after an incident with the former South Korean rating board, the Korea Media Rating Board (KMRB). The KMRB was bribed to rate the gambling game Sea Story as if it were a game suitable for everyone. The South Korean government then formed the Game Rating Board.
Game Ratings[edit | edit source]
The All rating is given to games that are suitable for everyone. It contains no content that parents would find inappropriate. The rating is equivalent to the ESRB's Everyone rating and the PEGI's 3+ rating.
The Test rating is given to games that are in a testing or demo stage. This rating is a placeholder rating until a proper one is given with the release of the final product. This rating is equivalent to the ESRB's Rating Pending rating.
