God mode is a gameplay mode (often enabled as a result of cheats) where the player character cannot be damaged, hence the term "god". While God mode is a generic term for this type of mode, it is used in many types of games, from shooters to RPGs. Made famous by DOOM, God mode typically allows the player to play with infinite health and infinite ammo, making them essentially indestructible.
