Goompa

Goompa is the grandfather of Goombario in Paper Mario. He is seen fixing up the veranda when Mario first arrives to Goomba Village. After Kammy Koopa summons a yellow block to make the path leading out of the village unaccessible, they need Goompa's hammer to fix it. Mario walks out the veranda only to notice it's not there, and falls to the forest area, meeting up with a hurt Goompa. They travel together for a short time, and let's Mario keep the hammer.
