Hollow Knight is a 2D Metroidvania game set in Hallownest, an underground insect kingdom that has long since fallen into ruin. The player controls "The Knight" in exploring Hallownest and uncovering the mysteries within.

Development for Hollow Knight was partly funded through Kickstarter, with Team Cherry receiving about $57,000 in the end.
