Terminology |
Isometric view video games are video games that use a kind of third-person perspective for the camera to take. It is usually a fixed camera angle that shows 2D characters or objects on screen as if they were 3D. The x, y and z axis are around 120 degrees; the camera shows everything from a 3/4th perspective, as if from a high corner. Examples of games with an isometric view include Zaxxon, Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy Tactics, StarCraft, and Q*Bert.
