Jelly Battle is a single-player strategy Flash game developed by 20:20 and formerly available on Gamenet, as well as other Flash game websites. However, this Flash games has been pulled down from most/all websites hosting it back in 2014, but it is still available to play via BlueMaxima's Flashpoint. It can only be played in single-player and no longer in multiplayer, since it was removed from Flash game hosting websites.

In this game, the objective of the player (who is blue) is to destroy other jellymen by collecting icons. The player, who starts with 100 health points like the other players colored purple, orange, and yellow, can select, using their mouse, a highlighted square two squares away from them in any direction to move their jellyman. Sometimes, the square has nothing on it, which means nothing will happen, but other squares have a wide variety of icons that allows them to do something, like healing the jellyman, hurting it, teleporting it, protecting it or making it launch weapons into other jellymen. Every round has a time limit of just a few seconds for selecting icons (around 3 to 5 seconds). After each round, every icon moves one square to the south, with the southernmost icons eventually disappearing and the newest icons coming from the northernmost from the board. When two or more players pick the same square, there is a tiebreaker (called the "jelly off"), and whoever wins the tiebreaker gets their space and punches the opponent jellyman/jellymen, making them have 15 health point deducted and being position one space away from the tiebreaker winner's space. In rare cases, 3 or even 4 can have the jelly off, and one jellyman can die if they get knocked out of the map. The single-player game can be played in easy, medium, or hard.

Icons

Pink (weapons)
  • Nuke: injures all opponents wherever they are and every opponent gets 30 health points deducted.
  • Handbag: injures opponents within one square, and every opponent there gets 30 health points deducted. This item is used automatically for 3 rounds.
  • Laser: injures opponents within the same horizontal and vertical lines as the user, and every opponent there gets 25 health points deducted.
  • Air strike: a plane launches missiles to all opponents, but most of the time, these missiles don't hit the opponents, but when they do, every affected opponent will get 30 health points deducted.
  • Blast: injures all opponents that are three squares away from the player in every direction. Opponents 1 square away from the player gets 40 health points deducted, those that are 2 squares away get 30 health points deducted, and those that are 3 squares away get 20 health points deducted.
  • Random drop: drops a random object on a random player. Objects include an anvil (which deducts 25 health points), a ton of metal (which deducts 35 health points), and a piano (which deducts 50 health points).
Blue (bonuses)
  • Invisible: The player becomes invisible to other players for at least a round. The invisibility wears off when they take damage.
  • De-bonus: When the player steps on this, all of the other opponents get their bonuses removed. Wears off with de-bonus or when they take damage.
  • Shield: The player is protected from any weapon for at least a round.
  • Freeze: It freezes an opponent in their current position for an entire round, forcing them the inability to move to go to a different icon.
  • Jelly rage: It causes twice the damage from the weapons to any opponents' health.
  • Triple jump: It allows the player to move into any direction three spaces away from their current position.
Yellow (teleportation)
  • Teleport: It automatically makes the player teleport into a random space in the board.
Red (traps)
  • Mine: When the player steps on this icon, some health points are deducted from their health bar.
Green (health regeneration)
  • Super jelly: Regenerates their health bar entirely to 100 health points regardless of how many health points they have left.
  • Health: Partially restores the player's health.

Jelly Jumper

Jelly Jumper is a single-player game from the same developers, 20:20, and the design of the game is very similar to Jelly Battle. Though, the premise of this game is different. In this game, the player, whose character is a jelly person, has to jump and land through the green smiley keys in the lowest amount of jumps possible. It has 50 levels.

Trivia

  • When player one loses, whether they're 2nd, 3rd, or 4th place, the purple, orange, and yellow jelly characters are shown on the podium. However, when player one wins, they show up in 1st place, purple comes in 2nd, yellow comes in 3rd, and orange being 4th place is squashed (regardless if the places are different).
  • There are 5 rows and 15 columns of keys, hence the entire board has 75 keys.
  • The red exclamation mark button can serve as a pause button for the timed key/tile selection.
