Jissen Kyotei (実戦競艇?, "Combat Racing")[3] is a Japan-exclusive video game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The game allows to compete in the Kyōtei races that are held all across Japan every year and wagered on by hundreds of spectators. Players have to control a hydroplane at blazing speeds in a series of hydroplane racing racing events. This game gives the full sensation of participating in one of Japan's greatest spectator sports and the AI competitors are skilled just like the actual professional racers. Three laps are done for each race; giving the impression to the typical Westerner that this sport is like NASCAR except that the stock cars are replaced with motorized boats.
