Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards is a game for the Nintendo 64 that begins when Kirby meets up with Ribbon, a fairy from the planet Ripple Star who is searching for the shards of the Power Crystal, which was destroyed and scattered in an attempt to keep it away from the evil Dark Matter. Ribbon and Kirby team up to find the shards of the Power Crystal and defeat the Dark Matter.
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards is a side-scrolling "2.5D" platformer, and Kirby's first and only starring role in the Nintendo 64. Kirby 64 is true to the classic Kirby games in that you can suck up enemies to steal their powers, but this time, Kirby can combine powers by sucking up two enemies to create all-new powers.
