MX Superfly, released as MX Super Fly in PAL regions, is a motorcross racing game developed by Pacific Coast Power & Light and published by THQ for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, and Nintendo GameCube.
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
Career Mode[edit | edit source]
The main mode pits a user-created rider against the CPU riders. From the creation screen, there are two different career paths to take—a racing career, or a freestyle career. The racing career consists of straightforward races against computer opponents, while the freestyle career consists of doing different tasks to get through to the next level.
Multiplayer[edit | edit source]
The Xbox version of the game has Xbox Live download support, allowing users to download different soundtracks, riders, and bikes off of the service. There is no Xbox Live multiplayer support. There is split screen multiplayer.
Reception[edit | edit source]
Critical reaction was mostly positive. GameSpot gave a 7.9 out of 10 to all of the versions of the game, reporting, "If you missed out on MX 2002, Superfly is a perfect place to start." IGN wrote, "It's not a perfect racer, but it's...the best we've played on any next-generation console to date." GameSpy gave the game a three and a half of five stars, and praised the fun physics system and great variety in the game, but criticized the complicated trick system.
