Magnavox (which is Latin for "great voice") is a United States electronics company founded by Edwin Pridham and Peter L. Jensen in 1917. They were the ones who invented the moving coil loudspeaker at Napa, California in their lab. They are also known for creating the Magnavox Odyssey in 1972, which was the first home video game console. This ultimately led to many consoles being created.
