Mario Party 8 is a party video game released for the Wii. It is the 8th installment of the Mario Party series. The game features a list of Mario characters. The game has sold 7.6 million copies and is #10 on the best-selling Wii games. You can also play as your Mii.
Controversy[edit | edit source]
The game was pulled from shelves after it used the world "Spastic". This term is deemed offensive in the UK, as it has long been used as slang for someone suffering from Cerebal Palsy, a situation not helped by the official Cerebal Palsy charity previously being called "The Spastic's Society". This is in contrast to the United States where "Spastic" is used to refer to someone who is seem as clumsy.
