Windows is an operating system created by Microsoft. One of its major strengths is the massive library of games created for it, and ease of use; its major downside is the rampant security issues it suffers.
In the most basic terms possible, Windows is a file manager oriented operating system which has been designed to run virtually any program or file within reason. More recent editions, such as Windows XP have been targeted at the growing popularity of networking, home multimedia, and wireless capability. The majority of all A-list computer games are coded for Windows.
