NBA Live 99 is a sports game by Electronic Arts that can be played with up to 2 players. It was released during an NBA lockout. The PlayStation and PC versions are significantly different from the Nintendo 64 version, most likely due to hardware differences. The team at EA Sports allegedly had to build the N64 version from the ground up, minus many features such as facial expressions and ticker scores.
The gameplay in its default mode is arcade like in nature; Unrealistic and easy to pick-up-and-play. However, you can alter the rules to make it more of a simulation sports game in the settings or preferences menu.
