Neverwinter is a Dungeons & Dragons-based MMORPG released in early 2013. It is developed by Cryptic Studios and published by Perfect World Entertainment.

Development[edit | edit source]

Development started in 2010, and it was originally supposed to be published by Atari, with a subscription model. After Atari sold Cryptic Studios to Perfect World Entertainment, the game was redesigned to be free to play..

Story[edit | edit source]

Neverwinter is set roughly 100 years after the events of Neverwinter Nights. However, the storyline is separate and not part of the established story in Neverwinter Nights. After the city was struck hard by the Spellplague, Lord Neverember took the reigns and is overseeing reconstruction, while evil forces threaten the peace.
