The PlayStation 4 Slim was released on September 16, 2016 as a 500 GB model, originally retailing for £259 in the United Kingdom and $299 in the United States. It was released again on September 29, 2016 as a 1 TB model.
Differences to original PlayStation 4 model[edit | edit source]
The PlayStation 4 Slim is approximately 40% smaller, with dimensions of 26.5cm x 26.5cm x 3.8cm compared to the dimensions of the standard PlayStation 4 of 27.5cm x 30cm x 5.3cm. The PlayStation 4 Slim uses the same 5 GHz Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac system as the PlayStation 4 Pro, and also includes the same updated DualShock 4 Controller as the PlayStation 4 Pro.
