Rise of the Tomb Raider at SteamDB

Rise of the Tomb Raider is a 2015 action-adventure video games developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix. It is the sequel to the 2013 reboot of the Tomb Raider series.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Like its predecessor, Rise of the Tomb Raider is an action-adventure game with elements of platforming and puzzle solving.

Plot[edit | edit source]

The game begins about a year after the events of Tomb Raider. Archaeologist Lara Croft struggles with her trauma from Yamatai. Now aware of the supernatural, she begins looking into her late father's research. Her father, Lord Richard Croft, had been researching an artifact called "the Divine Source", said to bestow immortality, as well as a mysterious secret society known as the "Order of Trinity". Lord Croft's obsession with the Divine Source led to his ostracism from the archaeological community and a fight with his daughter Lara before his apparent suicide in Lara's childhood. Ignoring discouragement from Ana, her father's partner, Lara locates a tomb in Syria belonging to the "Deathless Prophet", the central figure in the Divine Source myth.
