Sonic Mega Collection is a collection by SEGA of 7 Genesis games in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise for the GameCube. Sonic Mega Collection Plus was released later for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and Microsoft Windows that contained additional games. Sonic Gems Collection followed later, which included other, rarer Sonic games.
