Sonic Spinball is a pinball game featuring Sonic the Hedgehog. It was released for Sega Mega Drive in the US and Europe in 1993. It was later ported to the Sega Game Gear (and Sega Master System in Europe). The game was included in the compilation Sonic Mega Collection for Xbox, Xbox 360, GameCube and PlayStation 2. It was also released as a Virtual Console tittle which emulates the Mega Drive version.[1]

Sonic and Tails have discovered that Dr. Robotnik is building a fortress on top of the Mt. Mobius volcano, called the Veg-o-Fortress, using the Chaos Emeralds and the volcano's lava as power, he is robotizing the hapless Mobius citizens! Sonic stages an areal attack on the fortress, but is shot down, and falls into the ocean, but he is saved at the last minute!
