Street Fighter is a 1987 Fighting Arcade video game by Capcom. Street Fighter was met with moderate success upon release, it wasn't until it's sequel Street Fighter II: The World Warrior was released in 1992 that the series gained widespread recognition.

Street Fighter follows the Journey of Ryu, and Ken if played as 2-player, and their journey across the world.
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
Street Fighter has the player compete against AI controlled opponents as they travel across the world, fighting opponents in Japan, America, China, England, and Thailand. Each location has the player fight two opponents, for a total of 10 battles. Street Fighter features the 2 playable characters Ryu and Ken, and can be played either as a 1 player tournament, or 2 player co-op tournament.
