Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a platform fighter for the Nintendo Switch, developed by Bandai Namco Studios and Sora Ltd., and published by Nintendo. It was first announced at March 8, 2018 at the end of a Nintendo Direct. Ultimate is the fifth installment in the series. It was released on December 7, 2018.

Gameplay

Like other entries in the Super Smash Bros. series, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a fighting game in which Nintendo and third-party characters fight in arenas inspired by a collection of franchises.
