Tag Games Ltd is an independent, video game developer and publisher based in Dundee, Scotland. Established in 2006, it is focused upon the creation of games for mobile, handheld and social gaming platforms. It was one of the first European studios to develop titles for the iPhone [1] As well as developing games for a variety of mobile formats, Tag has launched application software for hand held gaming platforms such as the PSP and Nintendo DS.

Tag Games is a certified member of the UK game industry trade association Tiga, The Independent Games Developers Association.[2]

Tag Games is an officially approved developer for the Wii, Nintendo DS and Wii.[3] Tag has launched Car Jack Streets for Nintendo DS and has new projects under development for the Wii.

The studio has announced a contract with television broadcaster, Channel 4,[4] which will see the studio supply a range of games and applications based upon Channel 4 properties such as Come Dine With Me and Peep Show (TV Series).

Paul Farley, Jamie Bryan and Robert Henning founded Tag Games in 2006. Paul Farley and Jamie Bryan had previously been part of development teams at DMA Design and Vis Entertainment where they worked on titles such as Grand Theft Auto, Space Station Silicon Valley and State of Emergency.[5]

The developer is based in the city of Dundee, which itself is located in the Tayside region of Scotland. Dundee is a recognised hub for computer games development [6]

The studio's output consists of a mix of original IP development such as the self-published Car Jack Streets [7] and commissioned work for a variety of clients including Channel 4, Big Fish Games and Zed. Tag have also published third party content including B-Boy Beats developed by Bristol based developers Mobile Pie.[8]

Tag Games create games and applications for the following platforms: Java ME, BREW, Symbian, C++, N-Gage, Google Android, iPhone, iPad, Wii, PSP and Nintendo DS
