Players can race a Toyota Corolla, Subaru Impreza, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV, Ford Escort, Citroen Saxo, Nissan Almera, Skoda Felicia, Peugeot 106, Peugeot 306, and Renault Megane in 8 locations: Indonesia, England, Spain, Kenya, France, Monaco, Sweden and New Zealand.

V-Rally '99 Edition was a 1999 port of this game. It was released for the PC and the Nintendo 64. It had improved graphics and cars from the 1998 season.
