Westwood Studios (formerly Westwood Associates until 1992) were the developers of Dune 2, Dune 2000, Emperor: Battle For Dune, Nox, the Legend of Krandia, Earth & Beyond, and the Command & Conquer and Command & Conquer: Red Alert series. Electronic Arts closed down the studio in 2003, with many of the employees leaving to found Petroglyph Games, who would later work on Command & Conquer: Remastered Collection.
