Windows 3.0 + Multimedia Extensions 1.0 is OEM-supplied update to the Windows 3.0 graphical operating system for Tandy's line of multimedia PCs, released by Microsoft Corporation in October 1991. It is based on the previous Windows 3.00a bugfix release.
Features[edit | edit source]
Windows 3.0 + Multimedia Extensions provided a significant revamp of the multimedia capabilities of Windows 3.0. Users could now record and play digital audio (with Stereo support up to 16-bit in depth with a max sampling rate of 44.1 kHz), and use MIDI devices, screensavers and joysticks. Support for CD-ROM drives was also included, and new apps were included, such as a media player and alarm clock.
