Windows 3.1 Multimedia PC Version (codenamed Bombay) is a graphical operating system released by Microsoft Corporation in November 1992. Support officially ended on December 31, 2001.
Features[edit | edit source]
Windows 3.1 Multimedia PC Version featured some changes over the standard Windows 3.1 release:
- A Media Viewer and Video File Player were included
- Integrated sound and video support, alongside CD-ROM support
However, some features were removed from this release:
- CGA graphics support (although it could be re-added)
- Windows 2.x application compatibility
- The game Microsoft Reversi
