Windows Embedded Compact (formerly known as Windows CE and Windows Embedded CE) is a series of modular operating system frameworks used in a number of Microsoft Windows operating systems designed for PDAs and mobile devices, such as AutoPC (later known as Windows Automotive), Pocket PC 2000, Pocket PC 2002, Windows Mobile 2003, Windows Mobile 2003 SE, Windows Mobile 5.0, Windows Mobile 6.0, Smartphone 2002, Smartphone 2003, Portable Media Center, Zune, and Windows Phone. The latest versions are Windows Embedded Compact 7 and Windows Embedded Compact 2013
