Windows NT 3.1 is a graphical operating system released by Microsoft Corporation on July 27 1993. Windows NT 3.1 was the first in the Windows NT series of Microsoft Windows operating systems, and two versions were released: Workstation and Advanced Server. Support for the DEC Alpha was not initially present at launch, although a mail-in coupon was provided so that users could obtain a copy of Windows NT 3.1 with Alpha support when it became available. Support was officially discontinued on December 31, 2000.
