Plot[ | ]

The story takes place in an alternate timeline, in which Nazi Germany has developed advanced technologies that have turned the tide of World War II. In July 1946, Captain B.J. Blazkowicz, as well as pilot Fergus Reid and Private Probst Wyatt III take part in an Allied raid against a massive weapons and research laboratory, run by Blazkowicz's nemesis, SS-Oberst-Gruppenführer Wilhelm "Deathshead" Strasse. The raid fails, with the Allied survivors being captured in a human experimentation laboratory. Deathshead forces Blazkowicz to choose either Wyatt or Fergus for him to dissect, and leaves the other men to die in the lab's incinerator. While the remaining survivors manage to escape, Blazkowicz suffers a head injury and is left in a comatose state. Blazkowicz is rescued by a fishing boat and brought to an asylum in Poland, where he spends the next fourteen years under the care of Anya Oliwa and her parents.
