The Asociación Española de Desarrolladores y Editores de Software de Entretenimiento (aDeSe, Spanish Association of Entertainment Software Developers and Editors) was the official ratings body for the video game industry in Spain. Its objective was to ensure that video games were targeted for the correct age groups.

Now defunct, the former aDeSe rating system is depicted below:

Apto para todos los públicos (TP).

Literally, Suitable for All Publics. This rating was used for video games that are suitable for all audiences, in all aspects.

No recomendado para menores de 13 años (+13).

Not recommended for minors below 13 years old. This rating was used for video games where violence was lightly present, as foul language.

No recomendado para menores de 16 años (+16).

Not recommended for minors below 16 years old. May be used for video games where violence is present but is not very graphical; likewise, for sexual references.

No recomendado para menores de 18 años (+18).

Not recommended for minors below 18 years old. Video games with this rating may have explicit violence scenes, non-explicit sex scenes, unrestricted foul language, and specific drug references.

This rating system in Spain was never enforced in the video game industry, and it is still not regulated since PEGI is a self-controlling labelling system.
