The Atari 7800 Joystick is the standard controller for all Atari 7800 units. It consisted of an 8-directional control knob and two side action buttons, allowing for left- and right-handed gameplay. Some games required separate use of the action buttons, while most other games had both buttons operate the same action. It can be used as an alternative for the ColecoVision Controller for games that require separate action buttons.
