Big's Sonic Heroes appearance
Big the Cat is a fisherman who lives at the Mystic Ruins. Many people disliked Big the Cat when he made his first appearance in the game Sonic Adventure, released in Japan on December 23, 1998. Part of this dislike was fostered by his style of gameplay, which was the antithesis to Sonic's gameplay. Whereas Sonic was all about flowing through levels at top speed, Big was all about sitting around and fishing.
