DeNA Co., Ltd. is a mobile portal and e-commerce website based in Japan. It owns the Mobage-town platform, which is a popular cell phone gaming platform in Japan, as well as operating many other e-commerce based services.
History
DeNA was founded as a mobile auction platform in Japan in 1999 and launched its auction site, bidders, in November of that year. In 2004 it launched Mobaoku, an auction site exclusive to cell phones, and in 2006 it launched Mobage-town, a high successful cell phone gaming platform.[1] Mobage-town is currently the largest mobile SNS in Japan, with 11 million members.[2]
