===Bug-type attacks=== =====Fury Cutter===== Slashes the foe with claws or barbs, increasing damage dealt every time it hits. This attack is given to you in a TM when you defeat Bugsy from Azalea Town in Gold, Silver and Crystal. Although this move no longer remains contained in a TM throughout the 3rd generation, it can be taught by a Battle Frontier move tutor. =====Leech Life===== Latches onto the foe and bites it, draining it of a small amount of HP. Like Absorb, it deals damage and recovers HP equal to half the damage inflicted. Learned by a lot of bug Pokémon at a low level. =====Megahorn===== Rams the foe with a superbly powerful horn to deal an extreme amount of damage. The most powerful bug attack, this attack is learned by Pokémon with extremely powerful horns such as Rhyhorn/Rhydon and Heracross =====Pin Missile===== Fires sharp pins at the foe 2-5 times a turn. Learned by Pokémon with quills and barbs, such as Cacnea, Beedrill, Jolteon and Qwilfish. =====Signal Beam===== Fires a strange red and green beam that may confuse the foe. Commonly used by Volbeat and Ariados. Oddly, the Water/Ice Pokémon Dewgong can also learn the attack naturally. =====Silver Wind===== A brilliant silvery powder wafts through the air, dealing damage to the foe. Like Ancientpower, it has a small chance of increasing all stats by one. The Pokémon that learn this attack are all flying insects: Venomoth, Butterfree, Dustox, Masquerain and Beautifly. =====Spider Web===== Wraps the opponent in a web that is impossible to escape from. Learned by the spider Pokémon Spinarak and Ariados. =====String Shot===== Envelops the foe with a blast of silk to reduce speed. It became famous early on, as it was one of Caterpie and Weedle’s only attacks. Later, Spinarak and Wurmple would use it. =====Tail Glow===== This attack is exclusive to Volbeat. Volbeat makes its tail glow brightly, sharply raising Special Attack. =====Twineedle===== This attack was designed for Beedrill, and therefore is exclusive to Beedrill. Beedrill shoots a twin set of poisonous barbs to damage the foe and possibly poison it.
