When you click it, another reference is made to Lost about the polar bears from the [[Pilot (Lost)|pilot]]. * On one of the radio frequencies someone shouts "'[[Solid Snake|Snake? Snaaaake!]]'", as a reference to when Solid Snake dies in the [[Metal Gear (series)|Metal Gear series]] of [[computer games]]. * The crates feature a different colored picture of [[Duke Nukem]] with the letters D.N.E. (in reference to [[Duke Nukem Forever]].) * During one of the conversations, Sam tells Max that "This is the first time we have ever stopped a volcano god." to which Max replies. "Unless you count that time in the Philippines." This is a reference to the first Sam & Max comic book adventure, ''Monkeys Violating the Heavenly Temple''. * Bosco says he has everything prepared for his bunker, Sam asks "Do you have any Stimpacks and Rad-x" A reference to the [[fallout series]]. * In the lost and found box, they say they found "A fully playable beta of ''[[Sam & Max: Freelance Police]]''." * When the Bermuda Triangle appears towards the end of the episode, Max exclaims that it is the second biggest Bermuda Triangle he has ever seen, a reference to [[Guybrush Threepwood]]'s comments on the giant monkey head in ''[[The Secret of Monkey Island]]''. * The name of the episode is a reference to the movie [[Mo' Better Blues]].
