Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate is an adventure-puzzle casual game developed by Big Fish Studios, and distributed by Big Fish Games. It is the fourth installment in the Mystery Case Files series. The game is available exclusively at Big Fish Games website. The Mystery Case Files franchise is the number one brand in casual games and has sold more than 2.5 million units to date.

Madame Fate, a mysterious fortune teller, has foreseen her own demise at the stroke of midnight. She has asked for your help in investigating each quirky carnival worker to determine their whereabouts when the clock strikes twelve. Your investigation will include a multitude of fascinating personalities, from Art the Carny to Lucy the Bearded Beauty, while exploring the magical world of Fate's Carnival. Each suspect has a motive, but only you can discover the secrets hidden within Madame Fate's crystal ball.
At the end of the game, Madame Fate meets with you and asks you to complete a final puzzle, claiming that her death is the player's fault rather than the fault of any of the carnival workers. After finishing the last of these puzzles, an image of a haunted manor appears before the shot pans out to reveal Madame Fate lying dead on her crystal ball's table. A black ghost hovers above her, saying that "while you rescued Emma, you will never save Rose, his true love". We then see the detective (see Ravenhearst) talking to The Queen in a phone booth. The Queen informs the detective that something evil was released along with Emma, and the detective states "I know." The sequel and fifth game in the series, Mystery Case Files: Return to Ravenhearst, continues the Ravenhearst story-arc.

Like the Mystery Case Files titles that came before, Madame Fate relies heavily on the hidden object puzzle. However, many other puzzle types have been included to enhance gameplay. These include object puzzles and word scramble puzzles necessary to gain further game information and to gain access to other rooms.

According to independent tracking site game-sales-charts.com, following its release on November 8, 2007, Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate held the #1 sales spot on its home distribution channel, Big Fish Games, and has remained there. Leading casual games industry outlets such as Gamezebo.com have featured several articles featuring extremely positive reviews of the game.
